Christian Singles
2011/12 Programme (updated
09/10/2011)
Following our Pizza and Planning Meeting
in September, here's the list of scheduled events for the
remainder of 2011 and into 2012. There will occasionally be
ad hoc events that are organised to fill in the gaps.
If you would like to receive details
of these events as they occur, please email bedfordchristiansingles@gmail.com
If you would like to be kept up to date with regular events
and any ad hoc vents please also ask to be added to the emailing
list.
And please do tell your single Christian
friends and your pastor about the website - there are so many
single Christians locally who would love to join with us if
only they knew we were here - www.bedfordchristiansingles.co.uk
Events

October - Walk - Evan
is hosting a walk and details will be circulated nearer to
the event.

by a choice of either a meal or an arts/worship comprising
Jazz, Rock, Classical and Pop at a church in Luton.

November - First we'll see the Hitchin
fireworks and then one of our members has invited us to her
house for refreshments.

relationships, divorce and re-marriage etc.
26
November - Theatre - a trip to see "The
Wedding Singer", being performed at The Place, Bedford
3
December - Our annual Christmas Party,
with hot food, drinks, music and games. This year for the
first time we're going to be joined by the Cambridge-based
Bridges Christian Singles group to join us, so we're hoping
for an even bigger turn out. (And we're hoping for a return
invitation!)
31
December - New Years Eve games evening
at the house of one of our members in Hitchin. Last year's
event was so much fun we decided to repeat it.

by popular demand to the Reem restaurant in Bedford town centre.

into Jeremy's living room.
24
March - A visit to a National Trust
venue. Details to be decided nearer the time.
28
April - A walk in the woods and hopefully
to see some Bluebells if they're out.
Further
Events
We haven't fixed dates beyond April,
but in May we'll hold a repeat of our ever-popular Barn Dance
and another house party to see the Library of books again.
Later in the year we also hope to arrange a Stoke Bruerne
or Bedford boat trip, a Cambridge guided walk, and a trip
to Duxford aircraft museum where the more adventurous can
experience driving a tank.
Events
so far this year
As a reminder of our events since last Christmas,
we had an early January walk around Priory park in Bedford
and followed that by going to the cinema. We had a non-valentine
meal in February. In March we had another games evening and
in April we had a walk around the grounds of Woburn Abbey
followed by tea at their tea-shop. In May we had our Barn
Dance which was our most popular one ever and attracted 10
new members. In July we had our BBQ at a garden in Bedford
which was very well attended. In early September we held our
Pizza and Planning meeting and since then we've had a number
of ad-hoc events to see various films at the cinema and a
very lovely Italian meal.
If any of that interests you, do contact us
on bedfordchristiansingles@gmail.com
to be added to the mailing list.
